I am really excited to share my recent project with Betabrand – modeling and styling the Elope Dress. This is the first piece they’ve launched from their women’s line and I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to come up with a few looks.
The concept for this dress is quite brilliant, a versatile dress that can be worn many different ways – not just on your wedding day. The first look I put together was actually the first idea that popped into my mind when I tried on this dress; a basic day look worn by a woman strolling along in the park on a warm spring day. I paired this dress with knee high brown boots from Steve Madden, a jean jacket from 7forallmankind and accessories – bangles and hoop earrings.
For the second look, I thought of us San Francisco Bay Area ladies; tights are a major accessory in our wardrobe, especially black tights. What’s not to like about a white dress with black tights and booties? It’s very SF.
In the above photo, I am wearing black Betsy Johnson tights, Jeffrey Campbell wedged booties and a BCBG leather jacket.
For the last look, I wanted to throw in some color – even with a little flair, this dress looks amazing. I am wearing purple Betsey Johnson tights, leopard print heels with black ankle straps from Guess, a purple floppy felt hat to match the tights and a black ruffle BCBG leather jacket. Uber fabulous!
And the best part of it all, I got to keep the dress. Thanks Janice! (Betabrand women’s designer)
Thanks Jason for the additional photos!
