Rip tide wash skinny jeans, can you rock it?

Acid wash jeans; most people say keep them in the 80′s, I say why not give the trend a shot and see how well you can pull it off. They have been popping up every where from high-end jean companies to American Apparel. And some of my favorite celebs and models have been pulling off the look effortlessly. It took me a while to decide on my perfect pair because not only did I not want to invest a lot of money (in case I quickly changed my mind) but I also didn’t want to buy a cheap brand name.

One of my favorite discounted sites was selling a pair of acid wash jeans from People’s Liberation. I own another pair of jeans from that company so I knew I had a good brand and I knew what fit would work on my body. What I didn’t know was whether or not I would actually like this style of jean in person. But for $29 (normally $119), I was willing to take the risk.

And in my mind, the risk was worth it! I definitely have to be in a certain mood to wear these very noticeable jeans and every time I do, I get a lot of compliments. Horizontal stripes in general are suppose to make you look thinner but I sort of feel like I look a little heavier.

Since the pants are so flashy, I highly recommend a very basic top, shoes and accessories. You don’t want to look like a hot mess with a lot going on. I choose a nude tank from American Apparel since it is barely noticeable, brown sandals from Steve Madden, simple square stud earrings and an orange bracelet to add a small touch of pop with the neutrals.

If I was going to wear these pants in the fall or winter, I would stick to a neutral sweater and brown boots.

Hmm it looks like your website ate my first comment (it was subsequently super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for first-time website writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.
