My shawl collar knit cardigan from Zoa is currently a personal favorite, it’s so warm and goes with just about anything in my closet.  The ribbed detailing and fitted look (which can be difficult to achieve with a thick knit sweater), make this the perfect extra layer.  Paired with a tank top, it’s warm enough for a cool spring or fall day. And if you need even more warmth, I found a cashmere crew neck sweater makes a great combo. It also has 2 side pockets that never look bulky with a lipstick, phone and/or small wallet – making this piece versatile enough to wear as a light jacket.

It’s no surprise that I am an avid cyclist – whether it’s trails or roads,  I prefer pedaling over walking and driving.  Lucky for me, I was asked to model Betabrand’s Cornucopia bag, the prefect accessory to ride around town with.

This is my second Cornucopia bag that I own, I also have one in orange to specifically match the rims on my Kona Paddy Wagon. I like to look as good on my bicycle as I would off it – fashion & function.

These days I can’t seem to get enough of my Dolce Vita Jamison booties – so much so, that I own 2 pairs (taupe & black).  I absolutely love the way they look with a pair of skinny jeans, cut off shorts, skirts and dresses.

Another one of my favorite leather jackets is this ruffle, zipper jacket from BCBG Max Azria. The pronounced shoulders along with the large ruffle with a zipper edge is what sold me – it’s  edgy yet very feminine at the same time. I can pair this with just about everything I own.

I am also wearing a pair of skinny gray jeans by 7forallmankind, a stripe sweater from Jonano, a leopard print scarf from Lulu, Chloe sunglasses and currently my favorite hobo purse from Segolene Paris.

My friend Erica recently had a 1920′s themed birthday party. I spent several hours researching and watching tutorials on 1920′s fashion, hair and make-up. Fortunately, I was able to put together an outfit with clothing and accessories that I already own. Instead of wearing a flapper dress, I decided on old Hollywood glam – a long v-neck silk gown, faux fur and mary jane kitten heels.

The Vagisoft Blanket has recently received a lot of press online -  no doubt the name in itself is quite intriguing but the blanket is also incredibly soft and warm. After all, I have first hand knowledge seeing how I recently modeled for the brown version in just my birthday suit.

Queen of the world with this blanket!

My boyfriend Jason works for a local San Francisco clothing company called Betabrand, which primarily makes mens pants. When Jason asked me to model for the Betabrand Vagisoft Blanket, how could I say no? The name in itself is hysterical but the actual story behind the blanket is even more so.

The Tactile Soft-O-Meter measured "Vagisoft" within a standard deviation of one softron. Vagisoft? Well, Betabrand decided that if the Soft-O-meter says it, so be it!

Not only did I receive a blanket for my services, but the feedback from my fellow females on my choice of modeling an item called ‘Vagisoft” is quite funny.

Last year I was obsessed with military style coats and purchased this navy blue Laundry by Shelli Segal coat. Sadly, I had only worn it a few times – it’s a bit heavy and requires colder weather. Part of me was thinking about selling it on ebay since I hadn’t shown much interest in wearing it. However, my mind quickly changed once I put it on this morning – I had forgotten how stunning it is.

It is fully lined, single breasted, with a shirt collar, flapped patch pockets, and skirted hem. A gorgeous and well made coat.

There are also gold buttons on the cuffs and the back is just as stunning as the front with the upper pleating.

I just couldn’t resist saluting in this coat – basic training goes glam with naval details. Now that winter has officially arrived, I think I will definitely pull this out of the closet more often. After all, this coat originally retailed for $425 – I of course did not pay more than $130. Bargain shopping at it’s best!

I paired the coat with Roxanne 7forallmandkind jeans, Dolce and Vita Eve boots, a red Tano zipper hobo, Chloe sunglasses, a tart tee and cardigan underneath.

A sweater tunic, skinny jeans and a sexy pair of booties are one of my favorite looks for winter in the bay area.  I am dressed appropriately for the season but also have plenty of style and sass.

Hello gorgeous

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, Free People is my go to for just about every sweater that I own and this Scoop Back Knit 2fer Tunic is by far my favorite. It’s a versatile piece that can be worn with tights (I am 5’9 so it’s a bit short), leggings or jeans – depending on your mood.

I paired the tunic with my favorite charcoal colored Serena skinny jeans from Mavi, Luxury Rebel Amy Booties in dark brown (the only 3 inch booties I can walk comfortably in) and a fringe scarf from H&M.

Lastly I can not forgot about my latest purchase, my Asymmetrical Hobo purse from Segolene Paris. It’s pretty amazing isn’t it? It fits my style, has plenty of room inside to store my things, and I have plenty of gold jewelery to match. I always match my jewerly to my sunglasses, purses, buckles…etc. You will never see me wearing gold jewerley and carrying around a purse or wearing sunglasses with silver hardware. One could say I am OCD in that way.

It is no surprise that I love boots – I do after all have half a closet dedicated to many different lengths, heels and colors. As the the cold weather approaches, the sandals get tucked back into their original boxes (stacked nicely in the back of the closet) and the boots become center stage. As a practical woman that spends most her time on foot rather than in a car, the majority of the boots I own are flat or have a 1.5 to 2 inch heel or wedge.

Currently my favorite pair of boots are a gray, over the knee, flat boot by Dolce Vita called Eve. I recently purchased these as a birthday gift to myself and found quite the deal. They were less expensive than most of my Steve Madden boots (Steve Madden is known for reasonably priced, quality boots).  I have always been a fan of  Dolce Vita’s shoe collection and own several of their sandals and flats. The Eve’s are the first pair of Dolce Vita boots I’ve purchased. Thankfully, my shoe size is universal in their entire collection – these fit perfectly.

Since I’ve only had these a short time, I have yet to pair them with a dress or skirt. I’ve worn them a few times now, always with a pair of skinny jeans and really like the way they elongate my legs.

These are also the first pair of over the knee boots I’ve purchased. They are held comfortably in place by an elastic panel behind the knee and sit perfectly above my knee (I am 5’9 and was worried these wouldn’t be long enough). They do wrinkle down a bit, something I noticed after my second wear but it doesn’t bother me nor do they slide down. Also, I noticed some women actually fold down the top of the boot creating a below the knee look. Personally, I have plenty below the knee boots and really like this boot as is.

I paired these boots with one of my favorite striped cardigans from William B, charcole Serena skinny jeans from Mavi and a Mac & Jac braided ruched green top.
