I typically purchase a new bikini at the beginning of every summer as a reward for staying fit and healthy. I have a small collection of swimwear and am always on the lookout for something a little different. That can be a challenge since I am very particular about the cut and shape. I’ve tried on enough bikinis in my lifetime to know what works for me.
I am tall and thin, curvy on the bottom (thanks to cycling), but I am not a busty woman. When I am shopping for swimwear I look for pieces that balance out my body. In my case that means a top with some padding and lift (to extenuate my cleavage), and a moderate cut bottom.
I first discovered Mihok Swimwear on GILT and when I laid eyes on this caribbean colored bikini, I knew it was meant for me (pieces are sold separately). I am typically a small in both the top and bottom and after reading reviews online, I came to the conclusion that their sizing is true to size. So without even trying this bikini on and knowing I can’t return it (GILT doesn’t allow returns on swimwear), I went ahead and made the purchase.
I LOVE this bikini. The bordeaux structured bandeau top with seamed underwire cups (that has a little padding) is incredibly flattering on a smaller busted woman. It gives me just the right amount of cleavage without looking fake. The simple fully lined bottom is the right amount of fabric to balance out the top. I also really like the cut, it makes my butt look really good.
This style of bikini comes in over a dozen colors as well as a couple of prints.
