I should be organizing my bedroom and preparing for the work week but instead I am going to avoid it all and write a quick blog post. Last week I pulled a black sleeveless Natasha jersey dress from Tart out of my closet that I have yet to wear. Sadly it’s been hanging there for almost a year. Tart makes the softest jersey dresses around, not to mention this dress is flattering on all types of figures. I asked Jason to take a few quick shots of me after work last week since I received quite a few compliments from co-workers and random people at Whole Foods.
That day I woke up feeling a little irritated and bloated and was not in the mood to wear pants or anything that felt constricting. As I was rummaging through my clothing, the softness of this dress was what gravitated me towards it. I was determined that morning to quickly put an outfit that was suitable for work together.
This past Christmas was a lonely one. Jason and I had a relaxing day but we didn’t have any family members around to share the holiday with. Since it was just the three of us (including Neo the cat), I decided a festive dinner that included an unveiling of gifts for dessert was in order. I was looking for something fun and festive to wear. Lucky for me I had just the thing hanging in my closet waiting for the right occasion, my sequin mini skirt from Lush.
We decided to take photos for our family members of us opening gifts next to our fireplace a.k.a the tv that was viewing a burning log. Once I opened the ever so anticipated gift (I had asked for this gift specifically) I absolutely had to have a photo shoot. It was dark and raining out, so we opted for the garage.
