Constantly buying new things is expensive. I am certainly guilty of living off eating quinoa and chicken breast for a week to feed my shopping habit but sometimes it’s more fun to play with what you already have.
I purchased this Tart stripped jersey tee a couple of months ago and have had a lot of fun mixing it with all sorts of colors, fabrics and bottoms.

There is something to be said about the color red; it’s known to stimulate energy, encourage confidence and provide a sense of protection. We see it everywhere from stop lights to Valentine’s Day cards; it is indeed a powerful color.
I’ve seen a lot of red clothing pop up lately in magazines and on fashion blogs. It’s catching on to be quite a popular color along with yellow for this summer. The only trick for wearing red, is knowing what shade of red compliments your skin tone.
I love wearing colored jeans, it’s an easy and fun way to spruce up any wardrobe. I saw these chili pepper red Domino jeans on sale for $25 (online) and was instantly drawn to the fit and color. I figured for such a low cost, I didn’t have much to lose in giving them a try.
Even though this wasn’t the red color I was expecting, (online these appeared to have more of an orange tone instead of blue) I decided to keep them anyway. The blue tone still looks stunning in person; it’s just not as vibrant as I was hoping for. Continue reading →
